Ann Davenport and Carolyn Outland were in Myanmar leading a women’s conference when a national pastor shared a vision God had given him. The pastor was led to begin a small school in an extremely underprivileged area of Yangon. However, there were no funds for the school.
Ann and Carolyn returned to the states with a burden to provide a Christian school for the children of this area. Funding a school at this time was beyond the resources of Care Ministries. They shared the vision in churches, conferences and with individuals. God touched the hearts of His people and through their donations, Care Ministries founded Glory Home School in 2014. Since that time, God has been faithful to provide school expenses through compassionate donors.
God consistently leads Care Ministries to tasks beyond our means. Care Ministries continues to fund the school but has expanded the scope to include providing clean water through digging wells, constructing bamboo huts for those in most need of housing, and providing critical medical needs. These ministries opened the door for a church to be planted in this area. Several people have come to know the Lord and made their faith known through baptism.

This work is entirely funded by donations. For example, $30 a month for a year will provide a child with education, meals, clothing, school supplies and Bible teaching. The cost of a well is $600 and construction a bamboo hut is $400. Would you consider sharing with "the least of these?"

Occasionally, when families of our students are in desperate need of a new hut, Care Ministries provides them with funds to construct a new home. For many, living conditions are that of living under a tarp. By providing them with a sturdy bamboo "hut" their living conditions are vastly improved. With your help, we can build more homes for these families.
"Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Build a well, both literally and figuratively. To date 14 water wells have been installed in the slums of Myanmar, but certainly more are needed. Your donation will be put towards the maintenance of existing wells, construction of new wells, and our ongoing efforts of these communities.

Care Ministries provides lunch daily to all the children in school. For many, this may be the only meal they have that day. With your support we can continue to provide each student with meals, clothes and school supplies.
